One of the most prominent jazz musicians in Latvia, Denis Pashkevich – a saxophone player and a composer – has helped put Latvia on the jazz map of Europe and the world. Latvian concert-goers will have the opportunity to listen to Denis Pashkevich’s latest concert programme entitled ‘Older than Night’ and featuring both his original compositions and pieces by world-famous jazz musicians and composers. The special guest of the concert will be the Italian trombonist Beppe di Benedetto, who is bringing to Cēsis his virtuoso technique and a number of his original compositions – performed with the musicians of Denis Pashkevich Hard Bop Legacy.
